The speaker of the House race is all theater IMHO. It brings eyeballs of the normies. A few days of the House doing nothing but voting for speaker is no big deal in the grand scheme of things. I think the odds of McCarthy getting the gavel are below 50%. But the theater needs to play out before someone else gets the votes. This also lets Trump see where people stand. By Trump endorsing McCarthy, he keeps the dems from crossing over for him. You have to find out who are the weeds. So enjoy your popcorn.

Well McCarthy made it in with a fight. I haven't gotten caught up yet on SCOTUS, just reading my msgs now. I'm almost afraid to look at the boards! Haha

To my knowledge there hasn't been an update on the Brunson case. Raland Brunson said yesterday that the SC usually publishes the list of cases they accept on the following Monday - so hopefully, we'll see something then.
