wow... yikes... Sounds like he had the military on his side but that wasn't enough. Militaries don't really run the world anymore. International intelligence agencies do. I think we're officially in the "horrors beyond comprehension" stage now. And we're inevitably leading to a hive collapse. Imo until humanity can figure out how to have freedom in a mass surveillance world, the best hold over we can have until we figure out how is a benevolent dictator of whoever holds the highest access to the mass surveillance intel / system.
