LOL, you are exactly right about the depreciation of assets. Buildings, machinery, heavy equipment, commercial fishing boats, farm tractors and equipment along with many other types of durable goods are regularly depreciated every year by businesses in accordance with the IRS tax schedule for the respective business.
You have to forgive the obtuse people that take GOOF courses like Journalism in college, playing for 4 years to get their worthless degree in Stupidity. They are dumber when they leave college and it proves how little they know about the real business world that generates and produces real tangible goods that you can measure and touch that contribute to our GDP.
