I don't trust them to do it. They are too afraid.
I know where you're coming from, but I have a unusual sense of optimism about this.
The important national security interests implicated in this case allowed the Brunsons to bypass an appeal that was frozen at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit and get the case to the Supreme Court which has now scheduled a hearing for January 6, 2023. The Brunson Petition for a Writ of Certiorari would require the votes of only four Justices to move the case forward.
The fact that they framed it in a way to bypass an appeal and that the SC is hearing it on Jan. 6, 2023 seems more than a coincidence - not only bc of the significance of Jan, 6th itself but also bc it would put any reinstatement of Trump within the less-than-two-year time limit post-reinstatement that keeps him eligible for a full term in 2024.
Interesting about the date of the hearing with SCOTUS, I don't believe in coincidences. Your point that Trump would be eligible for a full term for the 2024 election after serving the rest of his term in 2023-24 is fascinating, I never considered that. My two cents here is that I am not sure however that anyone at SCOTUS wishes to further endanger their own lives by actually enabling the circumstances that would lead to the overturn of the 2020 election. They know that if Trump resumed his presidency the dirty cops FBI//CIA would murder the Justices that reversed the fraudulent election. They work for the Democrat/DS. This whole thing is a potential time bomb. Imagine the protests in the streets by Socialist Marxist/Democrat Liberals, setting everything aflame being the sore losers that they really are. On the other hand, its exciting to think that these 4 brothers from Utah actually got this far and more exciting if the case gets to discovery where tangible evidence must be presented. What if this is not a dream?.......
Nonetheless, I think that I may be just as pessimistic as you are RealPOdPatriot. I live by one of my tried and true maxims; Hope is for fools. My reasoning is that once someone descends into the depths of hope, it implies that this individual has already given up to perceived reality. As one of our prolific posters on this board is named, I Never Give Up neither and stay away from hope. LOL!!
So thanks very much for your analysis of this article, I learned something new today. Best wishes!!

Exactly and that's the problem - Anyone with integrity knows that this is about way more than one person's life - If someone isn't willing to stand for what's right, they have no business holding ANY position of public trust. PERIOD. "Regular" citizens are being killed every day in this country from the jab, from job loss, from homelessness, etc - what makes the life of a SC justice more valuable? Nothing!. They can and should be willing to throw themselves in the boat with the rest of us - and, frankly, they deserve death, if they DON'T rule in the plaintiff's favor on this case.
While that lines up, all it takes is a single "no standing" justice and that's that, all she wrote..
Agreed
I hope you are right!
So do I - and maybe I won't be. That being said, it's made me - the most pessimistic, irritable person here - actually consider that something good can happen with this - so I'm going to enjoy a few week reprieve from my dour mood :-)
On the other hand if we lose the country, they lose their significance. Maybe self preservation will urge them in the right direction?
I don;t think they see it. Except for Justice Thomas
One judge, but you know, God has a thing for judges. He is pretty black and white about their position in society, and what it does to a nation.
