I agree. People can change their opinions and views.. some refuse to change, even with presented factual information that proves them wrong... But logical thinkers will absorb New information and reprocess it, changing views and opinions. None of us... Not a Single One Of Us, were born with the information that we have learned over the years that brings us here, Today! I'm sure many of us have met and associated at one point in our life's with some shady characters, or done things we regret later on in life. Everyday is a learning experience, a chance to start anew, to take life's lessons and move forward to Not repeat our past failures, to build off those lessons to make a better world for us and those around us that find themselves in similar struggles. The Guilt By Association tactic has always bothered me... The DS has indeed used this for a long time to sow discord... and when I see people trying to do good, while simultaneously seeing efforts to discredit Good Work... it screams "kill The Messenger!". I'm certainly not saying to ignore past info we've learned... but if someone seems to have turned a corner and is apparently trying to correct some wrongs, lets give them at least the opportunity to redeem themselves. In Elon Musk's case, someone of his position and stature can have a far reaching effect that should not be taken for granted.
