Here we go!
As pressure grew to ban Trump, Twitter received pressure from Former First Lady , tech journalist , , high-tech VC , and many others, publicly call on Twitter to permanently ban Trump.
Jack Dorsey was on Vacay Jan 4-8, so he delegated much responsibility for Trump decision to Yoel Roth and Vijaya Gadde
On January 7, emails employees saying Twitter needs to remain consistent in its policies, including the right of users to return to Twitter after a temporary suspension
Around 11:30 am PT, Roth DMs his colleagues with news that he is excited to share. “GUESS WHAT,” he writes. “Jack just approved repeat offender for civic integrity.” The new approach would create a system where five violations ("strikes") would result in permanent suspension.
SO THAT MEANS JACK DORSEY DID APPROVE CENSORING OF TRUMP
On Jan 8th, Twitter announces a permanent ban on Trump for "Risk of Further Incitement of Violence"
(so, did the FBI tell them that was the plan all along??)
On Jan 8th Twitter says they banned Trump because of how his Tweets are received and interpreted. This contradicts a Twitter statement in 2019 that said they don't try to determine all interpretations and intent of content.

The only concern expressed by Twitter staff about suspending Trump came from 1 low level staffer. That person said that ad hoc decisions like this don't appear to be rooted in policy and IMHO appear to be a slippery slope.
Twitter employees often use their own discretion to action an account. They refer to this as "one off"
Surprise! Yoel Roth and another employee (obscured) wanted to Block the hashtag "stop the steal" from trending. Roth knows the difference between policy and his own personal views but appears to snicker at it. What do you want to bet that other employee is Vijaya Gadde?
Roth immediately DMs a colleague to ask that they add "stopthesteal" & [QAnon conspiracy term] "kraken" to a blacklist of terms to be deamplified. Roth's colleague objects that blacklisting "stopthesteal" risks "deamplifying counterspeech" that validates the election.
Bottomline: Twitter execs changed policy on the fly specifically so they could ban Trump. Yoel Roth was so full of himself for getting the go-ahead to ban Trump, he also lobbied to ban Matt Gaetz
