Now, shame on me for not researching this myself... but founding fathers had to have addressed this possibility in some way? At least some discussion in the Federalist or Anti-Federalist papers.

It's possible, but I don't know. If there is something, they should have used it on the Mueller investigation

Right. Maybe you could dig this up for us Poalrs? A little post about the origin of the DOJ and the position of Attorney General and the power that department has amassed vs. what Founding Fathers intended?
