While it's a movie I think this is true; either you get along with the program or you reject it instantly, even more so these days
And when you get along with the program, it's really either because you are clueless or a fucking psycho. That or trying to pull a vader but it's rare, just as rare as vader himself, nobody does that

I had friends encourage me to go military after the gulf war, I told them this, I couldn't take the programming, even at 20 something I was already too aware of the BS and couldn't "fake it for a few years" like they were encouraging me to.
