I have seen them often abuse their farm animals and children. Some can be quite harsh and of course, very judgmental and unforgiven. Amish don't have exclusivity to those faults. I've seen/heard of the same here in the northeast. We are all human, and most have regrets at what was once said/done in the heat of the moment.
