FOIA says they must. They literally cannot keep it secret. It is not classified. Falls under FOIA. They can try to foil the FOIA requests but courts eventually smack it down.
They will claim "national security". That's what they always do. They didn't release security camera footage from the Pentagon on 9/11 either. The idea is, they don't want certain information released to our enemies. In the case of 9/11, the existence of security cameras, where they are, what the camera angles, frame rates, and resolution is, how many cameras there are, and where they AREN'T, can all be used by our enemies against us. I guarantee they won't release the Pelosi home security camera footage for the exact same reason. In the case of the police body cams, you'd be able to see the floor plan of the house, where the doors and windows are, potential vulnerabilities and blind spots, etc. They won't do it and they never will, even if ordered by the court under FOIA. The phrase "national security" trumps everything every time. It's a holdover of the PATRIOT act. They will never willingly give up this power.
