A Republican will not be elected governor in California for at least another decade or two, if ever. The last one was Schwartzenegger who was a Rino married to a Kennedy. He only got elected because of a special election after a recall. There were about 25 names on the ballot and his was the only one anyone had heard of. He was completely ineffective because the government worker unions rolled over him.
don't be so sure. Californians had enough and if there was ever an election that could see a Rep as Governor, it is this year. Remember the DA recall in San Fran. EVERYONE is sick of Newsom, of $7 gas, shit on the streets, homeless everywhere, etc, etc.
Nope. Newsome doesn't even have to campaign. After the failed attempt to recall him, no one wanted to run against him except no-names. Larry Elder was the only really viable candidate who ran during the recall. He got 3.5 million votes but 7.9 million voted to keep Newsome so Elder didn't even bother to run in November. Things haven't changed enough since then so Newsome will coast on the stupidity of California voters.
He wasn't a RINO...
