Two months ago, I was invited to the Pit.

I didn't ask to go, in fact I expressed no interest in going initially; other people convinced me to come.

I went expecting to finally get the data from 2000 Mules that we had been promised since May, and I was also mildly curious about whatever the other story was supposed to be, though I wasn't expecting much.

What I got was a very standard "do something about the election!" rally, a story about possible foreign influence in election management software, and zero actual data released to the public.

Not only was none of the promised data from 2000 Mules actually released, but even the documents related to the Konnech story were released only to certain members of the press. The public still can't access them.

After several days of this build up and let-down, I was obviously disappointed in the entire affair, which made the early end to the after-party due to Gregg's team not respecting the hotel's gun-policy even more irritating.

And yes, my opinion hasn't changed; the incident at the after-party felt like a publicity stunt in order to get a sympathetic story in the right-wing press the next morning, and I don't appreciate being used as part of a publicity stunt.

For some reason simply reporting accurately about a press event that I was invited to and giving my honest opinions to my audience was so egregious an infraction that as soon as an admin from the group saw it they decided to skip having an internal discussion or a group vote entirely, and just made the executive decision to shove me out the door, lock it behind me, and then lose my phone number.

It was literally four days before anyone in charge told me what the hell was going on.

In the meantime they left me twisting publically in the wind so that they could turn the rest of the group who didn't even know what was going on or why/that I was gone yet against me.

Can you imagine being fired from a job that way? Now imagine your "family" doing it to you.

To be treated like that after I spent six-months in a foxhole with this group, and all of the members (accept four so far) suddenly forget that I exist, turn their backs and walk away like pod-people, and then never speak to me again.

I'm honestly physically sick about the entire thing. My hair has been falling out.

I unban everyone, I unblock everyone, I open up my comments, and still all they do is passive-aggressively copy me, make snide remarks, and dig in their heels.

Two months later, still no Ripcord, still no apology.

Nobody say I didn't try to make things better.

Oh well.

Betrayal is the worst.

It sure is. I trust this guy way more than most. He has worked his ass off doing all the hard necessary work that no one wants to do.
