yeah,tried to do that 5 yrs or so for my wife with severe ulcer, needed 3 units, son and i are both O- universal. they said they'd be happy for the donation but couldnt give it to my wife, policy. may be different in your area, trust me, one of the hardest decisions ive had to make,@ the time the policy changed allowing gays to give blood, freaked me out. had to do it , she was blue, i prayed. more important, God did hear me
