some German in the German parliament made a statement recently that everyone is going to remember where they were then the disaster on September 24th happened.

My problem with this is that the statement is a 19 second clip with zero context. What was the parliament meeting about?

I've been a first responder for over 12 years. These types of exercises are common. They are usually put on by fire departments and involve other Agenciest hat have a mutual aid agreement with each other.

I've participated in many of these. I've learned a lot from them as well. From mock multi-vehicle accidents to plane crashes.

I came here to say this. Not everything is a conspiracy.

I played in one of these as an "actor". It was used as practice for local first responders to a mass casualty event which would overwhelm their "normal" capacity. The simulated event was an airliner crash after touchdown, we were given makeup and cue cards to simulate various injuries. The first responders got to practice triage and trauma-type first aid.

I personally think it's better if local EMS practices this shit, so if it goes down for real it won't be the first time they do it.

Nursing home role-players?

Interesting that it's in HI....

It's in KS... But yeah, that struck me as odd that they would run these exercises in Nursing homes and Hospitals as well. Especially considering the population of Oskaloosa, KS... 1,100 people... with a zip code of 66066... that's a lot of 6's!

Oops - don't know what made me think HI.

OK - here's why I thought that - I clicked on the page and it reads "Support Santa Surfing Ohana"

Yep, I believe she's in HI.

I noticed that there was no pay mentioned. Is this just a voluntary exercise?

What's the going rate for Screen Acting Guild volunteers these days?

In a town of 1,100 people, I'd imagine anything over $15.00/hr would see people flocking to the Fire Station.
