Namely the ability to control the serfs. The CBDC will be "programmable". In other words, it can prevent you from using it to buy things they don't like. You can no longer pay using cash. Little Susie won't be selling lemonade. Homeless people won't be pan handling anymore. How will the unemployed sell drugs? Did I mention the interest rate can go negative. That's right. When the government overspends, they'll reduce the interest rates below zero. On top of that, inflation will sky rocket as the amount of currency increases at the push of a button.

On the other hand, they can implement UBI by simply pushing a button. Oh dear, you weren't good this week. No UBI for you.

Think how rogue alphabet agencies can be financed now. No longer will they need to resort to using Bitcoin, as opaque spending is an inherent feature.

You thought classic fiat was bad. KEK. CBDC will make classic fiat look stellar by comparison.
