No, he defined evil. Evil isn't a physical substance that you can weigh or measure it's a concept that people can choose. Cutting someone with a knife isn't evil it's the intent behind it, the goal the cutter tried to achieve. If someone was cut open by a surgeon to remove a tumor we don't call the surgeon evil because it was the patients choice and the intent was righteous. If someone cut someones throat to murder them to steal their money then that is evil.
We create evil, he gave us the choice to create good or evil and it's up to us to make that choice every day with every action and every word or thought.
We instinctually know good from evil but people are tempted by selfishness and attempt to bend the rules. jews entire religion is basically 'how to commit as much evil while avoiding consequences'.
he didn't great evil, he allows evil. he is powerless to stop evil, obviously evil is more powerful than god.
That's a stupid take, evil is a consequence of free will, he gave us free will, it's us who choose evil. The fact is you can't have free will without the choice for evil, he can stop it but that means no free will. You can't have one without the other and he chose giving us free will was more important than eradicating evil so he allows evil and gave us the choice. Evil is our own creation, not the devil's. We make evil when we break his laws, he told us how to be good and we choose what is more immediately beneficial.
how do you know that evil is a consequence of free will? what if satan is controlling you?
