Daemons in Roman lore were tutelary spirits that represented certain characteristics, being possessed by a Daemon was something more akin to an addiction that some Hollywood excorcist. The feeling of lust towards another woman when you promised yourself to another could be described as being possessed by a Daemon of lust, it's an entirely selfish and natural feeling to feel and submitting to that emotion breaks the law of adultery. We have the choice to obey that law and be loyal to your wife or commit adultery and a sin. The selfish need to hookup with someone can feel overwhelming, like its out of your control but it is always your choice to act, your choice to get into that situation, your choice to be vulnerable to your weakness.
