When God made man he gave man FREE CHOICE/ FREE WILL .
God doesnt force anyone to do anything. WE CHOOSE on our own whether to live in His will or not.
If God forces us then we no longer have free will ...

Satan FORCES us against our will .. Satan does this through fear, Self doubt ( im not good enough) and Personal Anger ( anger against a person instead of against the evil ) Satan doesnt put these in our hearts WE DO ..These are in all of us

God could have created all to do everything he tells us but then we couldn't CHOOSE HIM on our own it would be pre programed..

as a parent, do you want your children to love you because you tell them to? or because they choose to ?

I hope this helps..

God, i ask that the seeds that were planted and watered today continue grow and bear the fruit of the message brought to us by Your Son Jesus and through Him we ask forgiveness and guidance

Amen Brother, sadly with free will when things go bad God gets blamed, but when it goes right how many take the credit for themselves. In the past people said the Devil made me do it they were actually closer to the truth, still missing the free will point. yes we were given free will and important we make wise choices. because in the end it all falls back on our choices based on free will. Time to stop blaming God and blame ourselves for the bad choice we make .

Should be "the devil suggested it and I said ok."

Truth!!! Can't have one without the other. No love without hate. It takes BOTH to learn about ANY of it.

This is a great discussion, and a nice break from the usual. Thank yo for pinning it!

Unbelief is the cause, IMO.

Jesus told his apostles, that they would do greater things than these, when he was performing His miracles

Just imagine the world if everybody believed Him and in Him.

Agreed

You are blessed because if it!

Godspeed.

If God created everything, isn't he the one who created evil in the first place?

[–] 6 pts

God Created ALL beings. he did create Satan.. but Satan CHOSE self over God... God didn't force Satan to chose that. Satan chose it all on his own

[–] 1 pt

So angels have free will too or was Satan just created to be God's huckleberry?

[–] 3 pts

Jesus has free will He chose to live in Gods will to such a degree that they became one this might help ...

Everything the Father has , he has given to the Son. Everything that is given the Son, belongs to the Father.

[–] 1 pt

1/3 of the angels fell with Satan .. that should answer your question.

[–] 0 pt

Have you ever read the Bible? It’s in there.

[–] 1 pt

How did God not know that Satan would do that when he created him. I thought that God knows everything.

[–] 2 pts

The question you should ask is WHY did God create Satan know the choices He would make... that I dont know..

When Jesus returns we will know more than we do now..

[–] 1 pt

Without Satan how could your free will be tested ?

Most likely, in my opinion, God chooses not to know everything in advance. Otherwise knowing everything becomes a gigantic spoiler, and takes the fun out of creation.

[–] 1 pt

But didn't God know Satan would choose self when he created him? I thought God knows everything. Does God know everything or not?

[–] 1 pt

yes He does know.. And when the time is right He will tell us why...

think on this awhile > If God only created those who choose Him, then he would have removed free will/ free choice ...

No, he defined evil. Evil isn't a physical substance that you can weigh or measure it's a concept that people can choose. Cutting someone with a knife isn't evil it's the intent behind it, the goal the cutter tried to achieve. If someone was cut open by a surgeon to remove a tumor we don't call the surgeon evil because it was the patients choice and the intent was righteous. If someone cut someones throat to murder them to steal their money then that is evil.

We create evil, he gave us the choice to create good or evil and it's up to us to make that choice every day with every action and every word or thought.

We instinctually know good from evil but people are tempted by selfishness and attempt to bend the rules. jews entire religion is basically 'how to commit as much evil while avoiding consequences'.

he didn't great evil, he allows evil. he is powerless to stop evil, obviously evil is more powerful than god.

That's a stupid take, evil is a consequence of free will, he gave us free will, it's us who choose evil. The fact is you can't have free will without the choice for evil, he can stop it but that means no free will. You can't have one without the other and he chose giving us free will was more important than eradicating evil so he allows evil and gave us the choice. Evil is our own creation, not the devil's. We make evil when we break his laws, he told us how to be good and we choose what is more immediately beneficial.

Completely agree re: free will - and that's what bothers me so much about the globalist agenda and transhumanism. It removes free will from the equation. SO...if we make decisions now that force successive generations into a system that will not allow them to exercise free will - and a system that we already know hates God - does this mean that no successive generation will know God?

Jesus will return before that happens.

We really are living in the last days.

Do you think God will allow His word to be shut down completely?

The sun sets in the west correct? As it sets the sky gets darker and darker.
Here is the important part : Even on a New Moon and heavy overcast .. no matter how dark the night there is always some pinpoints of light. ( lightning bugs, some plants, ect ect that emit light) they remind us that Gods word is still there . And after the night time what comes next? A. Morning.
The SON RISES.. representing the return off Jesus always reminding us of that promise..

You must have some contrast if you are to have anything. You have to have some dark in order to perceive the light. One morning when I was preparing breakfast I was deep in thought and prayer, questioning why we must have evil. I broke an egg into the pan. It was perfect, but then I noticed a teeny-tiny black speck on the surface of the yolk. I immediately wanted to remove the speck, but if I tried I would break the yolk, and the speck would probably get lost in the egg in the process. I heard the words (in my head) "the yolk is the universe and the speck is the evil. If you try to remove the speck, you will mess everything else up." At the same time I remembered that the universe is gigantic in relation to the earth, and the majority of the evil is playing out right here on Earth in quarantine from the rest of the universe. And it will play itself out and be resolved.

yes you have to kill some people to know how happy one would we if not killed. You have to rape some kids so the kids who did not get raped know how god they have it. Great logic!

You can have a universe that is good, with the potential for some evil thrown in, or you can have nothing. I realize that some are so beaten down that they would choose nothing.

Until the whole world accepts that there is only 1 Almighty/Good, although, he is know under different names, there will be no peace. You believe in God, who is this God? Is it Allah? Is it Brahma? Is it Zeus? Is it El? Is it Ra? Is it God? So you see, all believe in “God”, yet Christians say only God is the real God. What about the Muslim God Allah? You don’t accept him as God? But there is only one God, so how can he not be God? If you say Allah/El/Brahma/Zeus/Hu/Baha/Jehovah/Elohim/Jah/Maykapal/Hananim/Bog/Deus/Got,etc. is not God just in a different language, I say you are a xenophobic bigot.

Beautiful . ThanQ for sharing that.

What if...existence was far more complicated than a corporeal, mortal, existence?

And there were a near infinite number of choices presented to us? But we chose to be sent through a crucible of mortality to grow and develop to improve as eternal beings?

Similar to Plato's Cave, if all you ever did was live in the Eternal Glory and Grace of God, how would you ever be able to make decisions about your eternal existence in your own right? How would you be able to make a choice that is righteous because it was righteous instead of being overwhelmingly compelled to do so while in God's Presence? You lack free will in front of the Overgod. You are very close to an automaton at that point. Sure, you still have the ability to think, but you will not choose unrighteousness.

So how can you know how to be righteous for righteousness sake instead of the overbearing pressure of the Divine Grace from your Creator?

A crucible. A test. A way to improve and develop as an eternal being. To be sent from His presence and Glory and experience and existence that allows you to better understand true righteousness and Eternal Glory. Your soul matures as grows as it truly understands what it means to choose righteousness over evilness, to choose charity over selfishness, to choose edification over debauchery. Now we are talking. Now we are talking about a deeper understanding of what existence about. It is an eternal line of progression where we continually seek to improve and grow as eternal existences.

Now the Problem of Evil is nonexistent. Now the situation is resolved. Why? Because that means we chose to exist God's Presence to experience a mortal coil. A crucible. Who knows how many other choices and callings we could have chosen. But we chose the difficult one: to experience existence out of God's Presence. Because we wanted to better understand Divinity, to grow, and develop. That is the highest compliment we can give our Creator. To be righteous for righteousness' sake, not because of the overwhelming pressure to be righteous while in His Presence.

Knowing that, knowing that you likely made the toughest choice in your existence before you were born here, should make you better understand your reason for existence. You cam here to be a better person. To be more righteous for righteousness' sake, and not to just exist as an animal.

In the beginning Man created God; and in the image of Man created he him. And Man gave unto God a multitude of names, that he might be Lord of all the earth when it was suited to Man. And Man became the God that he had created and with his miracles did rule over all the earth.
