We didn't need anyone to confirm this at all. The math is very simple arithmetic.
CA currently experiences rolling blackouts because they cannot supply power to the state, consistently, as it is. If you overload the grid with even a 1% increase (and the cars would overload it by 50% or more with only a 20% EV footprint), the blackouts will get worse.
I can make it simpler: they are already negative on their power output. Any additional pressure put on their electrical grid will just push them further into the negative. OBVIOUSLY, the grid cannot handle more.
Patriot we have pointed this out early on especially with the wild fires. But many did not listen. Hopefully they will listen now. just like in Texas in winter where the windmills left the people in the dark and cold. Appears the windmills are only successful in killing eagles, had the eagles been covered in oil the DS BS Lamestreams MSM would have made it front page news.
I know a bit about the Texas problems...
More gas would have solved their problems. Better fitted facilities that were winterized would have also prevented many of the issues, too.
Exactly Patriot, later on we had a thread that showed the power companies were paid to shut things down.
