I agree that it's looked at as a way to level the playing field. However, the people funding this stuff, have a big influence on decisions - just bc someone has money 1) does not mean that they are somehow endowed with the ability to pick the right people, and 2) We The People are being left out of the equation.

Until dark money is legislated to be illegal, equal funding should/could/would at least create an equal playing field. Yes, I agree dark money should not be in US politics, but the political criminals that enabled it are still in power. Using this back door dark money approach against those who created it seems appropriate - until new legislation eliminates dark money.

I'm very familiar with all those sites - I don't think the left is freaking out - I think they're making a big deal out of it to minimize their own money machine. Like they scream - "so and so on the right donated x amount to Marjorie Taylor green" while they are given ten times that to their candidates.

Yes, they always want the lefties to freak over something so they can extract more money from them. Overturning Roe vs Wade is an example, though in my opinion was a protest and fundraising flop.

To sum up my take, I like their reactionary "panic" and I'm thankful that MAGA received these funds instead of it going to their Marxist opponents. Small donors will dry up as Bidenomics destroys the middle class. This war chest came just at the right time. One less headache to deal with. The Dems can't complain about dark money, they created this back door for their multinational corporations and Billionaires to legally enhance the effect of their will upon US politics, knowing conservatives historically depend on small donations from the people and couldn't utilize this back door to the extreme degree that the DS could exploit it. This donation essentially negates their dark money big donor advantage.
