The "explosive device" whatever it was, was detonated deliberately by police. Probably in one of those big iron drums they use for that purpose. It may be that it wasn't even an explosive device -- that all the explosive was from the charge the police planted to blow it up.

I agree, most all bomb scares are fakes. The police exploding the "bomb" lends credibility for MSM to run with it, that there was a real bomb. Blame MAGA/Trump White Supremacist Nazis in 3..2..1..
