Imagine how popular Trump would be if the media supported him, the way they generally supported Ronald Reagan after he got shot. When Reagan was first elected president, the press tried their best to demonize him, but people loved Reagan so much, they had to stop, especially after Reagan survived the assassination attempt. That was the end of the demonization. Trump is liked, but he isn't loved the way Reagan was loved.
If, after all is said and done in 7 years, Trump succeeds in draining the swamp ... and people learn the truth of what he was up against, Trump will be beloved as much or more than Reagan. We have the benefit of reflecting on Reagan's 2 terms and how things went south thereafter with GHWB, Clinton, GWB and Obummer. Trump's terms should be far more consequential than Reagan's.
