Yes, exactly . My comment meant 'A political slogan used after the great depression' bc a huge swath of America was still utterly impoverished and in poverty and by the standard use metrics of economic measurement, recovery/ confidence/ investment/ captal works etc really only began to pick up again around 1939/ 1940 hence the use of the term 'Make America Great Again' at that time (meaning looking back at what the Nation had just come through) was a call to look forward to an era of new growth and prosperity previously unattainable because of the collapse. Just for clarity, it was not just used in a single speech etc. There are images from that time of 'Make America Great Again' widely used on bollards and placards and painted on the side of buses/ trucks advertising this new 'call to action'.
