If so, them they would also be looking at the dimensions of each room, and where they don't add up to the total length/width of the house, then figuring out where hidden rooms or safes are.

Agreed. Or they could map the likely location of a person occupying a room..........scary thought. For example, where they would be sleeping in the bedroom
