To summarize Ms. Alvey's list: 1. Anything the school buys, provides, or is made available to students should be made available for the public to review. 2. Since schools said remote learning was acceptable during the pandemic, that same technology can be used so parents can review what their kids are learning. 3. Teachers and administrators must keep their politics out of the classroom. 4. Since our kids are being given laptops from the school with internet access, the school needs to verify the student's privacy and that "NO content/data from our children’s use of these devices will be collected, reviewed, provided, sold, forwarded, or otherwise accessed" by anyone outside of the school district. 5. Be more accommodating of students with special needs. 6. Teachers, administrators, and school board members must be held accountable for bad performance. 7. Stop sending law enforcement after parents. That shouldn't have to be on the list, but it needs to be on the list. Oh god I wish. I been on the front lines at different points of the last 2 decades. Also, I recently said I don't write long stuff and here I go. Sorry for the big list. 1st one This sounds easier said then done. School districts, School buildings, and then teachers buy stuff. Teacher's buy most of what is in their classroom or make it. Schools or districts buy the books and workbooks. You say itemization on that? I understand the concern but this would cripple all schools. If that is the intention then this would be your goto force. 2nd one Cameras in a classroom are a privacy thing and a security thing. Also, the amount of bandwidth and connections are out of the realm of almost all districts. This would be violate request 4. 3rd one The intention is noble but its all politics. This turns into something similar to no Pledge of Allegiance or Religion. This is Jewy lawyer stuff. 4th one Most schools use gmail or microshat. You know that is being sold. 5th one Special needs kids have to be labeled as special needs through a process at most schools. Then this tag gets marked so "State" funding can help them. One of them problems is a massive shortage in Special ed teachers and assistants. Also, many of these kids are specials needs because their parents suck. He's an iPad go fuck off type parents. One of the best ways to get better at this is to reduce the classroom size from 30 to like 10. Side note ---But we gotz to have all the nigglets and spics so sucks for everyone elses kids. Your kid has an IQ of 120 but the emotional IQ of a 3 year old. Then they get put with feral nigglets and spics with the 70 to 80 IQ. Your kid is special needs because of the emotional IQ of a 3 year old but they are ok because they are white and overall above the average of the rest of them. 6th one There is bad performance but what yard stick? It's hard to have good performance when one or two kids flip chairs and chimp out daily. Of course kick those kids out? But doesn't that mean item 5? But you can't get hire someone for 12 bucks because everyone believes their babysitters. Some are or have become but the requirements require experience and education(social justice bs withstanding). You yell at an Autistic kid or ADHD one in 3rd grade? What about spotting dyslexia or other medical problems? How about the kid that's been beaten by his mom but he's ok when he visits his dad. Teacher minds their own business but 2/3rds of the time the kid is so withdrawn or disruptive that kids failure means they fail? This is beside the point of the assholes the cps everything. 7th one No school board should send stuff after parents unless the parent physically attacks them. Of course this goes without saying for anyone in society. This is fucking "Shopping cart return" theory shit. Finally, if you read it this far then thanks. You are not going to solve this school problem with this stuff. The public schools are mandate to take any kids. they are the last resort so they have kids that have no where else. Also, the 3rd world immigration bullshit would have to end. Schools can not survive unlimited immigration. That ain't going to happen. You need a good 10 years of a border full closure type shit before things clear through. To many kids with to few people willing to be abused and watch abuse for pennies. All public schools need to be closed. Stop taking property taxes for houses which is the funding for schools outside of the guberment. End Title 1. This sucks but a school is a privilege and common good for society. We let anyone into our society so screwed the common good. It sucks for everyone but if parents expect someone else to raise their kids for pennies then they are the problem and need to deal with their own shit.
