There are no basements in FL because the water table is too high -- and Trump lives right on the ocean too. Idiot MSM running with this ridiculous story.......

A decade ago they got a new emergency broadcast weather guy in Southern California who was obviously from the other side of the rockies.

For 4 or 5 months , we kept getting ebs interupptions that tornados were eminent and everyone should get to thier basements immediately.

No one has basements in southern California, and there are too many hills to keep a tornado alive . There is one tornado every 20-30 years and it sometimes knocks a few shingles off of some houses before it gets thwarted by the rolling hills. Last tornado was in the early 2000's and it caused something like $800 worth of damage in total.

Born and raised Californian and I've never even heard of a tornado occuring here. Once in awhile on the north coast we'll get what they fancifully call a 'bomb cyclone' that can rattle loose windows and even knock down some old trees and fences, but it's not a centralized vortex like in the midwest.

I remember one that knocked over some semi's or train cars around '07-'08 in SoCal. Basically pushed them over and that was about it.
