There are no basements in FL because the water table is too high -- and Trump lives right on the ocean too. Idiot MSM running with this ridiculous story.......

Bunch o' dumb Yankees, nobody has basements near the Gulf Coast lol.

"A hurricane, quick, into the basement where we can all drown!!"

A decade ago they got a new emergency broadcast weather guy in Southern California who was obviously from the other side of the rockies.

For 4 or 5 months , we kept getting ebs interupptions that tornados were eminent and everyone should get to thier basements immediately.

No one has basements in southern California, and there are too many hills to keep a tornado alive . There is one tornado every 20-30 years and it sometimes knocks a few shingles off of some houses before it gets thwarted by the rolling hills. Last tornado was in the early 2000's and it caused something like $800 worth of damage in total.

Born and raised Californian and I've never even heard of a tornado occuring here. Once in awhile on the north coast we'll get what they fancifully call a 'bomb cyclone' that can rattle loose windows and even knock down some old trees and fences, but it's not a centralized vortex like in the midwest.

I remember one that knocked over some semi's or train cars around '07-'08 in SoCal. Basically pushed them over and that was about it.

Wellllll it would certainly be possible to build such a thing given limitless money. Simply seal it and make it's mass higher than the bouyancy of the airspace inside. Boom. Instant basement.

Was about to say they could do it if they really wanted to.

It was built as the winter White house it definitely has an underneath . https://therealdeal.com/miami/2017/04/13/did-you-know-mar-a-lagos-has-three-bomb-shelters/

I was a land surveyor in that very county. Your right many places don't have basements.

It was built by Marjorie Merriweather Post (the cereal heir). It was not built to be the winter white house.

Respectfully, it was built for the heiress who later donated it to the govt in "hopes" it would be used as the winter white house. That only occurred in the 1970s.

Doesn't Flarda have a lot of karst topography?

At least Trump knows who killed JFK, RFK and MLK, just hope he lets us know.

Zero chance of it happening but wouldn't it be epic if his response to the raid was to release everything he knows about those murders? And hopefully whatever else he knows about about Federal malfeasance.

I've always sort of wondered if he turned his back on all of the promises in his initial platform because they threatened his kids and now that his daughter is clearly a traitor... I guess he has other kids though.

Come on Donnie. Do it for the lulz.

No one up north has any idea what goes on anywhere else.

“No basements in FL” is a bit of a stretch claim to make. There’s probably very few because hurricanes and such, sure. But a guy with Trump’s money could make it happen and make it built to where it’s still safe.

There’s rarely basements in central Texas, but tons of them in the panhandle of Texas. In central, there’s a lot of hard bedrock that would have to be dug into. But it’s also not impossible to do, it would just be a bit pricier than it is to build the same thing way up north.

Point being, I won’t say “there’s no basements in central Texas” just because most people don’t have them. But, they do exist.
