3-4 minutes

Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.) was killed in a car crash on Aug. 3 local authorities and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) confirmed. She was 58.

The crash occurred at 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 3 between two vehicles near the intersection of SR 19 and SR 119 near Nappanee, authorities told local media.

In a statement, the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office said that “a northbound passenger car traveled left of center and collided head-on with a southbound sports utility vehicle.”

All three occupants in the southbound vehicle died in the crash. They were identified by authorities as Walorski, 58, Elkhart, Indiana; Zachery Potts, 27, Mishawaka, Indiana; Emma Thomson, 28, Washington, D.C. The occupant of the other vehicle, identified as 56-year-old Edith Schmucker, was also pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

Thomson was a member of Walorski’s staff, and Potts was the head of the St. Joseph County Republican Party, according to the South Bend Tribune.

The Elkhart County Coroner’s Office and the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office are currently investigating the incident. Other details about the incident weren’t provided by officials.

McCarthy issued a statement to confirm her death. Walorski’s husband, Dean, “was just informed by the Elkhart County Sheriff’s office that Jackie was killed in a car accident this afternoon,” McCarthy wrote on Twitter.

The GOP leader called on people to “please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers.”

In January 2021, Walorski became the ranking member of the House Ethics Committee. She also served on the House Ways and Means Committee and was the ranking member of the Subcommittee on Worker and Family Support.

Walorski, a Republican, was a lifelong resident of Indiana, according to her biography. The congresswoman had represented Indiana’s 2nd District since 2013. Response

“Just seeing the awful news about Rep. Jackie Walorski. Heartbreaking. I’ll be praying for her family after this awful and shocking tragedy. May God surround and comfort them all,” Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) wrote on Twitter.

“My heart is heavy, and i don’t have the words. But all I can say is prayers for her family. She was a good and honorable public servant. Rep. Jackie Walorski, two others killed in crash,” added Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) on Twitter.

“I’m shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of Congresswoman Jackie Walorski. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and the other victims of this terrible crash,” wrote Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, the former mayor of South Bend, Indiana.

Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind.) wrote that Walorski had a “heart of gold” and “everything Jackie did was to serve others.”

She should have setup a "deadman switch"

The most common 'deadman switch' is other people. Which are easily identified with the social networking component of the xkeyscore system.

The other type, software based, easily break if an upload site changes a single element of the site. Worse, if your flight gets delayed, and your check-in is prevented because of DDOS or network issues, guess what? The deadman switch fires while you're still alive--which means, in some circumstances, the person behind a deadman switch won't be!

Never heard of a deadman switch being another person.

Then that's not a deadman switch.

Then that's not a deadman switch.

How do you think the information gets dropped or posted dadudemon?

I sincerely want to hear what you believe constitutes a dead man switch.

Please read here for what an actual, modern, deadman switch is supposed to be:

https://www.makeuseof.com/what-is-dead-mans-switch-how-to-set-up/

The software requires you to encrypt data and create a set of triggers that automatically activate if there's no timely human intervention. For instance, if you fail to log into the software for a specific number of days or if you don't respond to an automated email, it may trigger a series of events.

A person cannot be a deadman switch unless it is the old school method (such as throttles) which is not the type of deadman switch we are talking about. If you want old school spy stuff to where a person will release information to the public if you don't shine a laser at a stop sign every day at 2:30, that's fine - still not a "deadman switch" like I'm talking about. Quite clearly, I'm talking about modern deadman switches.

And if you think a properly setup deadman switch can be DDoS'd into oblivion by the government who does not want something to be released, you're far too naïve. The government does not have near the control over everything that you think it does. That's an illusion they want you to believe. They can barely see much better in the dark than we can because of the tools and resources they have but it is not that much better.

I could setup a deadman switch that will automatically decrypt and notify a shitload of people if I do not enter in my password, say, once a week. And there's NOTHING the entire governments with all of their super computers (every computer on the planet) could do to stop it without at least 50+ trillion years.
