Serious question. Is there a pagan holiday coinciding with Pelosi's visit? Meaning, are they setting her up to be some kind of sacrifice to ignite a war they so desperately want? Cause if she flies in there with a fighter jet escort they may very well shoot her down. And they have every right over their sovereign land (which they totally believe Taiwan is) This is a very good video explaining the history of this situation of which most people have NO clue

Taiwan is the Republic of China, the last stronghold of the old country which existed before the communists overtook the mainland and created the Peoples Republic of China. It is a great point of nationalistic pride to retain its identity, and a great embarrassment to the communists that it still exists, hence their hatred of its mention or official acknowledgement.

Well said. Most people don't realize that the Chinese Nationalists retreated to (Formosa) Taiwan as their last stand against the Communist occupiers of the mainland in 1949. From that point the ChiComs did not have the military resources to attack Taiwan overseas, so the island became a safe haven for the Nationalists. They are the last vestige of what was the true Republic of China whom claimed that they remained the legitimate government of all China. We continued to recognize Taiwan as the ligitimate government of China until 1979 when the Democrats and the useful idiot peanut boy President Carter stabbed them in the back by changing their recognition of the legitimate government to the Chinese Communists. Wonder how many Democrats became millionaires with ChiCom payoffs for this betrayal. Now the Communist Ruling Families are all multibillionaires because we in the US made them that way. Taiwan remains the ultimate humiliation for the ChiComs as they never successfully defeated or destroyed the Nationalist army nor were the ChiComs ever able to seize the assets of the Nationalists.

Pelosi just pushed thru a huge bill to give over $50billion to chip manufacturers, after her husband bought a shit load of stock in chip companies. Taiwan has many chip manufacturers. She's most likely there to pick up suit cases full of cash as her reward for her hard work in congress.

Taiwan is defacto an independent country. China says it's not and America is ambiguous about it, but there's no need to not think a spade is a spade.

Also, I'm highly doubtful Pelosi will be shot down. She wants to retire soon and her trip guarantees a historical footnote regarding Sino-American relations. The Chinese are more concerned with tightening control over their people and (presumably) fixing a data leak to start WWIII. Shooting down Pelosi would be handing America tons of support.

What good is that support?

Their support opens up the opportunity for America to tell allies with food and fuel to give it to those without. Even the promise of spoils would help secure subservience. Our allies would also buy our weapons, give troops, etc.

Our government wants a war with China and they care more about how many countries can be dragged along rather than boring things like logistics and the cost of human life.

What reason does this drunk have to go to Taiwan? She can't even complete a sentence without stumbling over her words. She is going to represent us over seas. Husband must need to complete a deal! I am surprise Taiwan is even welcoming her knowing it is pissing off the mainland. She is intending to start WW3. The money laundering business will soon come to an end there also.

Has anybody noticed the massive china floods? A huge part of this tough, scary, boogie man of a country is under water.

I doubt their military bases are weather proof.

And btw, I think the slush Pelosi is in the Chinese pockets and it's all B.S.

Maybe, this is their way of making it appear that she's not in cahoots with the Chinese.

It doesn't make any other sense.

It's theater...in my opinion.
