Friend of mine, RVN Marine buddy who belongs to our local VFW Post, took a vacation down in Costa Rica this past December. He's hispanic, and speaks good Spanish. He came back and told us (along with a video) about towns which are completely taken over by "Los Blanco Ricos" (rich whites). The locals live on the outskirts and come in each day to do various chores, run the shops and markets, etc. He said there are about 35,000 US citizens living full-time in Costa Rica. Also said he wouldn't go to Mexico even to see the Second Coming a Hayzus!

A school friend of mine moved to Costa Rica in 2007, sold everything he had here. He said he could retire and live like a king for very little money there.
