It does seem plausible that a TV station would test their system by entering fake numbers. Even if there was a conspiracy to rig the election, they would have to wait for the actual election night results before adjusting them realistically.

The could easily simulate/test/prove their software in the engineering room without sending it out over the live feed and causing this commotion.

People screw up all the time in control rooms as the .

Most of those examples were just the distracted commentators vs a royal screwup in the control room creating an embarassing sidebar, crawl, background or fullscreen.

I know there is an occasional screwup, but this seems purposeful to me.

I think they are sending false flags out trying to trick people that the election has already happened and they missed it. This way they hopefully stay home during the actual election.
