Back in the day I was a better than scratch golfer and had dreams of being a star on tour. I got inside the ropes but never caught the wave or the ride into the sunset. I did stay in the industry for many years and it was a massive part of my life that lead to lifelong friendships, great stories and unforgettable life lessons. The love continued as I watched most tournaments on TV and NEVER missed a major. Then the PGA dumped all over Trump. I still go to the driving range a few times a week but have only played a couple of times the last few years. That’s ok though, golf has a very distinct quality that it shares with only a few other things.
