The Department of Defense recently released the memorandum for the Consolidated Department of Defense Coronavirus Disease 2019 Force Health Protection (FHP) Guidance – Revision 1, which amends sections 7.4 and 7.5 to align the DoD travel testing requirement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, "Rescinding Requirement for Negative Pre­Departure COVID-19 Test Result or Documentation of Recovery from COVID-19 for all Airline or Other Aircraft Passengers Arriving into the United States from Any Foreign Country," effective June 12, 2022.

Specifically, the changes:

Remove pre-travel viral testing requirements for Service members, DoD family members, DoD civilian employees, and DoD contractor personnel; Remove additional guidance relating to travel testing requirements, including exceptions from these requirements; and Incorporate recommendations regarding pre-travel testing for all travelers arriving in the United States through or from a foreign country.
