s For some reason I was thinking about this today also and you described it pretty good. Each board, CBTS, Reddit then Voat and now Poal had a large decrease in users. The movement is shrinking in terms of what I can observe. I also notice on news aggregate sites where you can access headlines from 100+ sites, I see duplicate headlines. You can search a news topic in the search engines also and see it as you scroll. Same story, exact same heading and at the end credits another site. It tells me a few things. . .

Social activity is reduced to bickering. Not much research going on. We see the players and we see information stagnation. Not many real reporters on the ground and cracking the code.
