It seems to be a deeper issue than left vs right. Here in Victoria, the nominally conservative party is particularly weak and ineffectual, but until recently the federal government was held by the nominally conservative Liberal/National coalition (they got booted, I think, mainly because people just want to throw out all of the incumbent governments, that and a concerted effort by "Teal environmentalist" candidates. A recent phenomena of supposedly economically conservative, "green" candidates placed to dilute the vote of traditionally conservative electorates. They seem to be wreckers to me though, just commies in disguise). They are basically center left though really. The push seem to be mostly technocratic and authoritarian in nature. Some of the biggest problems we have are that the governing bodies for doctors and pharmacists, have been effectively captured by a technocratic authoritarian group, whether that was voluntary capture or not. So, for example, doctors in Australia are coerced, under threat of losing their license to practice medicine, to only advise patients in line with the advice of the Department of Health (whose advice is to jab, and jab, and jab...). Basically no doctor will give anyone, even people who are anaphylactic to PEG, an exemption from the jab. Theoretically, all you need is a form signed by a doctor to get the exemption, but no doctor is game to do so, as they are almost immediately investigated, to the point that one doctor had a bunch of plain clothed enforcers raid his office and confiscate ALL of his confidential patient records. The judiciary are either captured as a part of this process or just pathetic spineless cowards. It's significantly different here to the US I think. Here, we have this weird assumed set of "rights". However, in reality, our rights have zero protection under the law. Our rights of free speech, freedom of movement, self defense, etc. are all just implied and often totally ignored by the government. As for Dan Andrews, take anything you've heard about him and multiply it by 1000. He's a fucking grub, a total fucking crook. Him, and the "chief health officer" Brett Sutton, who was one of his main lackeys in the lockdowns. If you want a look into it, read up on a scandal known as "Slug gate". That's just the tip of the iceberg. He also basically sold out the state to the Chinese. Apologies for the incoherent rant.... must get some work done today!
