Victorian here, the unvaxxed are now able to go back into sporting venues.... for now. My partner ended up taking the Novavax jab, she will likely be fired anyway in a few weeks when her work mandates the booster (Novavax is not authorised for booster). I took no jabs, and never will. Interestingly, the booster mandates are being done under OHS rules, which could, I think, be subject to legal challenge as the requirement would violate the Disability Discrimination Act that specifically outlaws discriminating against a person on their propensity (perceived or actual) for contracting a contagious disease. Having said that, I have zero faith in the judicial system in this country, they are just as complicit in this fucking mess.
Interestingly, the requirement to be jabbed did not apply to "community sports", meaning basically just Aussie Rules football, cricket and netball. Other sports, such as golf, squash, hockey, bowling, all required jabs. Even taking my dog to puppy school had jab mandates. There is no reason to exclude a small number of sports, but not others, other than political considerations. They didn't want to piss off the hundreds of thousands of people, largely working class people who are the Labor party core voters, who participate in these popular sports. Politics has been the primary concern for all of this shit, Dan Andrews (Victorian Premier Dictator) is a corrupt piece of shit who has used this pandemic to grant himself total control over the state.
For most people, things are reasonably normal. A few still wear masks, but many don't even where they are "required", and other than Dan's thug enforcers, no one cares. I think more and more are starting to wake up, though it is too late for many that have been permanently injured by the jabs. I even overheard, at a recent farmers market, a conversation between 3 young women. These women were all in their early/mid 20s, had recently finished uni, they are basically the most left leaning demographic you could get. The conversation I overheard from them was basically how much they fucking hate the Victorian government and how much harm the measures that have been taken over the last few years have done. One of them had a friend who was living in the CBD of Melbourne who had attempted suicide during the lockdowns.

It seems to be a deeper issue than left vs right. Here in Victoria, the nominally conservative party is particularly weak and ineffectual, but until recently the federal government was held by the nominally conservative Liberal/National coalition (they got booted, I think, mainly because people just want to throw out all of the incumbent governments, that and a concerted effort by "Teal environmentalist" candidates. A recent phenomena of supposedly economically conservative, "green" candidates placed to dilute the vote of traditionally conservative electorates. They seem to be wreckers to me though, just commies in disguise). They are basically center left though really.
The push seem to be mostly technocratic and authoritarian in nature. Some of the biggest problems we have are that the governing bodies for doctors and pharmacists, have been effectively captured by a technocratic authoritarian group, whether that was voluntary capture or not. So, for example, doctors in Australia are coerced, under threat of losing their license to practice medicine, to only advise patients in line with the advice of the Department of Health (whose advice is to jab, and jab, and jab...). Basically no doctor will give anyone, even people who are anaphylactic to PEG, an exemption from the jab. Theoretically, all you need is a form signed by a doctor to get the exemption, but no doctor is game to do so, as they are almost immediately investigated, to the point that one doctor had a bunch of plain clothed enforcers raid his office and confiscate ALL of his confidential patient records. The judiciary are either captured as a part of this process or just pathetic spineless cowards. It's significantly different here to the US I think. Here, we have this weird assumed set of "rights". However, in reality, our rights have zero protection under the law. Our rights of free speech, freedom of movement, self defense, etc. are all just implied and often totally ignored by the government.
As for Dan Andrews, take anything you've heard about him and multiply it by 1000. He's a fucking grub, a total fucking crook. Him, and the "chief health officer" Brett Sutton, who was one of his main lackeys in the lockdowns. If you want a look into it, read up on a scandal known as "Slug gate". That's just the tip of the iceberg. He also basically sold out the state to the Chinese.

Very informative post. My daughter's dad is a doctor and a hospital administrator. He's retiring soon.He had heart problems in the past.So, I was very concerned when he got the shots. I've never been sick with covid aka the flu since this so called pandemic began. However, my daughter's dad has been a few times. ( my neighbor died after getting the 2nd shot, but that's another story ) .
Oh, as far as that doctor's office in Australia that got raided, I saw a video of that on Telegram. That was disturbing to say the least!
