The Fifth Amendment and Miranda "rights" were never linked together. Miranda says you "have the right to remain silent" as to not have your words used against you in a court of law. That is not the same thing as having to testify against yourself in a court of law. People who get their education on the laws from watching TV and movies don't understand this. It is no wonder that people don't understand the important differences between the 5th and Miranda since they only know what they see in cop shows on (((TV))).
