or, like they have been used in schools for a century of so, to teach a subject and the spelling of the nomenclature used in the particular study. Or like a pop quiz @ the end of the week to test for the above. I could understand why it might be onerous for someone for someone with poor vocabulary and attention deficit issues.
Good points. In schools though, crossword puzzles were used to drive home prior lessons and teaching.
In the case of the Q drops, it was more of a group effort to solve a cipher.
