I don't know about anybody else but I am going to spend more time preparing for an EMP attack and watching closely for the banks closing on a Friday because of "technical issues".

LPT: Make a Faraday cage from a metal garbage can (with a smaller metal container inside) to store a set of two-way radios, cell phone, weather radio, etc. Having these things in good working order will give you a big leg up on the impending hoard of zombies.

I got 6, 2 way radios UHF with neck mics and coiled ear pieces for around 200 CDN on amazon. They work 6 kilometers, give or take on land and line of sight conditions. Work in concrete buildings. Best thing i ever bought to communicate during a high rise construction, keeping in touch with the masons on a Fraco with the material providers on the ground. I no longer do that and i will build one of these this weekend instead of getting drunk AF. EDIT: Look up Retevis 2 way radios on Amazon.

I agree. I constantly reference the X-Files because I watched the entire series beginning to end in 2016 because I had some free time and people talked about it. When people talk about ufo's I ALWAYS reference X-Files. The answer to all of those pressing questions was that ufo's and abductions were the military.

Since we're on the subject of series. I watched Miami Vice in 2020. That series is dynamic. The acting/directing/writing is all superb. A little 80's dated in places but overall excellent. Then they have this strange episode that seemed out of place and hastily written. At the end one of the cops says to the other "This is a shit job but we do it for the children". Next thing you know, there are two more episodes that really suck and seem odd and out of place and then the series is cancelled. So that was weird. Supposedly the hottest thing going was cancelled for low ratings. Whatever. I can't address that. What I can address is that NOT a single episode dealt with/saved/implied to save/ or showed children. None. Not a single one. Why would this cop basically end the series saying they do it for the children when the series NEVER did anything for the children?

Stand out odd. I have my own thoughts about that statement and human trafficking but it was never in the series.

Plausible? 75% of what was said already happened... lol.. crazy, what date did this air, X-Files was done I thought - this could have been from the new last season a couple years ago.

I haven't seen anyone plausibly explain how they would create an EMP powerful enough to mess with civilization without using an extremely high yield nuclear weapon, at which point you have worse problems than your electronics going out.

Also I don't believe an EMP would permanently destroy powered off electronics anyway? But maybe I'm wrong about that.

An EMP wouldn't fry all electronics, but it would be a massive set back to society and would take at least 10 years to return back to normal - That is IF TPTB would allow it.

Climate change corporate BS aside, right now everybody is focusing on the potential for large scale man made catastrophe, and when I say "everybody" I mean nations, countries

I believe nature will deliver that large scale catastrophe, while everybody is focusing on something entirely different...
