i think they very much do understand it and know how powerful it is, which is why they are blatantly pushing the subversion of it. Everything they do is inversion and I'm not an overly religious person, but it does seem to be a type of spell or dark art. All the bills they name are in direct opposition to their outcome. Patriot Act? Makes domestic enemies out of actual American Patriots. Affordable Health Act? ha ok For the Kids Act? Won't do anything to protect kids. so on and so forth.
