In fact, the military is the reason adulthood is 18 as they know enrollment significantly falls off if they can't scoop children up at age 18.

The military has always been fought by people who had no clues as to what was going on. That's because the military has only ever had 2 means of gaining support. "Protection" and "Financial security".
