finding a good church as a search starting point.
I remember a female friend telling me exactly that about 40 years ago! Lol! Even church leadership has been infiltrated by Marxism. I'm more of a Bible study kinda guy (Baptist). I've met too many unimpressive pastors. One stand out (to me), Les Feldick created a compete set of Bible study videos (~1995-2009 videotaped Bible study sessions) that explain the nuts and bolts of the Bible start to finish. I find his format perfect for what I wanted. ION plays a half hour Les Feldick segment weekdays around 4:30am eastern, played in sequence. IIRC, there are about 750 half hour videos, so it takes about 3 years to get through all of them if you rely on half hour TV broadcasts. They are orderable from Les Feldick Ministries too. His children are carrying on his ministry now, Les is about 95 now and retired from Bible Study. http://lesfeldick.org/
I understand VOAT.xyz or whatever the new voat was named is closing up shop as well. That site started about a year or more ago. Some old goats went there but I feel the majority of goats went to other platforms. I sure miss the old QRV and TheGreatAwakening sub verses, I started lurking there Jan 2018 and signed off Dec 2020 when it shut down.
The bible study looks informative. Nice to see something like that on regular tv. Too bad they run it before the crack of dawn!
However, I wasn't telling you to go to church to find God or a pastor, (figured you already had that), just venture there to find a good woman. Check out all the local ones, never know which one she'll be in! 😁
I lurk .xyz and haven't heard anything about them shutting down. I do believe ruqqus did, though. Yeah, miss the old voat, too. QRV was a blast.
The best, IMO, was reddit's Great Awakening sub. More than 70,000 subscribers, the place was hopping. People from countries all over the world posting stuff & commenting. It was so interesting and exciting!
I just checked voat.xyz and it's named Talk.LoL!? That isn't the platform I was on when I read the message about voat shutting down. I'm not sure where I saw it now and can't seem to locate it. it wasn't talk.lol.
I never tried reddit, and later the consensus was that reddit sucks .... and then the arrival of reddit refugees escaping censorship confirmed that sentiment.
Yeah, voat.xyz redirects to talk.lol. Don't particularly like the name, reminds me of 'loli'. Not sure when or why they changed domains. It's kind of like how the .wins are directing to something called 'scored' now.
Reddit did suck, but a few subs were good. I just lurked r/Great Awakening and, for no apparent reason, decided to join reddit after they banned GA and right before they banned r/The_Donald.
T_D moved to dot win and then became patriots.win. They then had a bunch of new boards (a la reddit), including the Great Awakening board. Recently the .wins merged with scored. Sort of hard to keep up with it all!
