Durham enters Email from Peter Strzok dated Oct 5, 2016 into evidence: * FBI Agent Gaynor says a Confidential Human Source was reporting on David Dagon (who is the CHS??) * CHS Alleges David Dagon is the author of the white paper on Alfa Bank (given to the FBI on 9/19/16) * The FBI didn't think it was necessary to interview Dagon because it was too intrustive !!! (WTF!) * Info shows DC Attorney (Sussmann) was in contact with Dagon * Alfa Bank case closed in January 2017 - No Communications Channel Existed! * A CHS told FBI that the allegations had merit -- but they had already determined allegations were bogus * Gaynor says knowing Sussmann being paid for this would have impacted investigation -- and "close hold" wouldn't have happened and he may not have gotten involved (close hold kept the field agents from knowing Sussmann was the source) * Both Dagon and the CHS were engaged with the media (assuming the CHS here is Joffe) Defense Cross-Exam: * Withholding the source name occurred after the Cyber Division concluded the allegations were invalid
