Says the woke CEO: “First, let me state the obvious: spam harms the experience for real people on Twitter, and therefore can harm our business. As such, we are strongly incentivized to detect and remove as much spam as we possibly can, every single day. Anyone who suggests otherwise is just wrong.”
The problem with that statement is that they have clearly displayed, numerous fucking times, that they have not ever necessarily been incentivized by what’s best for the business.
The most shining example of this is that they had to have the threat of legal action to force them to do what was best for their shareholders: selling to Elon.
Any claim of “we do what’s best for business” after that is 100%, grade A bullshit.
Apart from that example, any moron could easily make the argument that dismissing and abusing upwards of 50% of your potential customer base is also not displaying an incentive to do what’s best for business.
I understand that liars have always existed, but they are so brash these days, it’s just astounding.
