The only explanation I have why we are out of baby formula is that it was coming from China all along, even as we were told it is not. So maybe this is a good thing, as someone in the USA will step up and make it now. Will take some time, but better for the future.

Going to put on my analyst hat for a moment.

Baby formula is one of those things that they don't make a lot of excess. Since it has an expiration date, they'd have to throw it away.

Therefore they don't have factories large enough to make excess production. The factories are "just big enough". The rate of birth and the amount that they manufacture is in lockstep, and it doesn't change much year to year. If there is a baby boom, they will know about it (9 months ahead of time) and it gives them time to ramp up production by hiring extra workers and running a night shift or something.

There is also a supply chain of materials: everything from the containers and lids, to the milk powder and extra vitamins and chemicals that are added to make the formula. All of these things are somewhat complicated, but it comes down to the shortage of one individual item being able to shut down an entire brand name. Say you ran a factory to make chocolate chip cookies. If you suddenly couldn't get baking powder, you'd have to shutter the entire plant. Since baby formula is very heavily regulated, you can't change the recipe and run to another baking powder manufacturer for supplies. It takes months of paperwork.

Everything in the formula has to be FDA certified since it is for babies. That means that lining up a third party is difficult and time consuming. Since you are shooting to meet the minimum FDA requirements of vitamins and nutrients, you can't just leave out your missing ingredient.

Note that this isn't what happened this time. I was using that as an example of something that could go wrong. What really went wrong is that one large manufacturer (who makes about half of the baby formula in the US) had an incident where some bad ingredients were sent out in the mix. Bacteria or some such... I haven't researched it. This shut down the whole factory, they scrubbed everything, they dumped a lot of their precursor ingredients, and they had to recall and destroy a lot of their finished product. Since they don't have any excess, there is a shortage. Since they don't have the ability to instantaneously increase their manufacturing, there will continue to be a shortage for a while. (Remember, they have to order their ingredients ahead of time and also hire and train people for the night shift.) Since it is a heavily regulated area by the FDA, they can't import it from any other country.

This all comes down to globalization and the "just in time" (JIT) manufacturing technique. They don't stockpile years worth of anything anymore. You have a few days/weeks of supplies on the shelf, and that's it. You run "thin" and your profit margins are higher because you don't have spoilage and you don't have to pay for extra space in your warehouse.

There are a lot of dominoes that have to fall exactly right in order for JIT to work correctly. If even one of them fails, the whole system stops working.

JIT manufacturing makes sense cars and some other things, but is completely fucked retardo land kike bullshit for things like food supplies.

This is correct, but it's a mix of hell.

Just because the formula is not made in china, does not mean that 100% of the product is american. Craftsman had an issue with this back in the mid 90s. Many of those chemicals, and the packaging, are imported. Supply chains are ruled by the bottle necks and the constraints. ANY constraint in the system will cause problems down the chain. In the old days we would see a bullwhip effect that would also cause disruption. Now the trick with a bullwhip is let the partner know " i have an EXTREME order, it's not gonna be a new trend" so that they hire temps instead of taking out a loan for new machines.

Now, if you are wondering why there is suddenly this panic with the kikes, it's jit. "whoever can destroy a thing, controls that thing". there is too much unguarded supply chain infrastructure across the world for them to maintain control, and they have finally noticed. there are train tracks in this country that if they were damaged, then the city of Chicago would lose power later on because those tracks bring the coal to their power plants. This is especially true now with the trucker shortage and the raising fuel costs. Want to bake some niggers this summer? put pennies on the train tracks.

The invasion of taiwan won't be started by chinese warships moving into the waters, it will be started by an embargo on the exports of goods to the west. This will kill people state side, because too many feeder chems for pharama come from china due to environmental and labor regulations.

Or maybe moms will start breastfeeding. Even better.

So maybe this is a good thing, as someone in the USA will step up and make it now.

IDK man... it just seems like we ain't going anywhere with the current selection of humans on this planet right now. Very few of us I grew up with even had kids. The ones that did have kids were/still are the worst kind of lowlifes, and those kids are turning out to be lowlifes, since they're teenagers now and we all witness the shit traits emerge.

Everywhere I go, lowlifes. Dumpy, trashy, lowlifes. They outnumber the decent humans to a colossal degree.

How are we to get anything accomplished, with this particular set of botched biomass; these defective denizens; the idiot inhabitants; our sick society?

A schizo theory I saw on 4chan is that the shortage is designed to force vaxxed mothers to breastfeed their babies and pass on their spike proteins.

There was a contamination issue which the Pedo Jew administration knew about and ignored for 4 months (killing a lot of infants) and then finally did a recall. So most of the formula got recalled.

I don't think it was coming from china because we had (still have) a problem here in Australia where asian people walk into supermarkets and fill trolley upon trolley with just baby powder, then charge 5 times the price to sell it back home in china. Even now it's limited to 2 packs per person, ESPECIALLY if you are asian, or aren't holding a baby when you buy it. They can downright refuse to give you the powder because of this shit.

So my wife says that the big news for the day was that the "biden admin" has been taking the baby formula to the border and giving it to the invaders.

Good question worthy of it's own Post "Is the Biden Admin taking baby formula to the border and giving it to the invaders?"
