Not a chance this will come to fruition. The EU has become completely dependent on Russian energy.

If EU member states don’t comply and start paying for their oil imports in rubles, Russia will cease doing business with them. Poland and Bulgaria have already been cut off by Russia for failing to meet the country’s standards.

The EU is on the losing end of this and if their leaders don't know this they should be removed from office if that is even possible anymore.

This is why they are pushing for full blown war with Russia. They want to freeze the European citizens to death while also starving them. But if they can't get the war going, they will play these other games.
