Wow, you couldn't be more wrong about me - who I am, where I come from, everything you made assumptions about in your entire post. For starters, I was born and raised in Texas. My first election when I was old enough to vote was voting for Ronald Reagan and I went to his inauguration in DC as a teenager.
I was the Editor of the Young Republicans newsletter and part of the Young Republicans in college and have never missed a single election voting all my life except for a primary due to being in the hospital. I've never voted for even ONE Democrat my entire life and I vote for Trump in the 2016 & 2020 primary and general elections.
Furthermore, I'm a gun enthusiast and have a License to Carry - which is a VERY rigorous process in my state, requiring extensive background checks, fingerprints, written exam, and marksmanship live fire test.
What I didn't like about what you said in your prior post was re: "sending a message by mass ammo purchases of a million dollars at a time" (paraphrasing) - which, to me, sounded like advertising a threat of violence from the public. Perhaps I misinterpreted the intention of your statement, but everything I stated in my reply re: the potential consequences of 'advertising a perceived threat of violence' remains valid and doing anything like that would be very dangerous in my opinion.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. The difference is whether or not someone presents their opinion in a respectful vs. personal attack type of way. Clearly, you chose the latter.
sounded like advertising a threat
First I don't believe any of your background. You sound like a shill listing off some bs profile. Gut says you're some dipshit in a fusion center or police department.
Second it sounds nothing like a threat. The exercise of a right, including the NGO/poltical lobby organized purchase of ammunition, cannot be converted into a crime, a privilege, or cause. And no everyone is not entitled to their opinion on this, because it is not a matter of opinion or debate. It's a matter of the legal definition.
I not only don't know you, I don't respect you. Why should I? I can and will treat with open hostility anyone and everyone that misconstrues my words, implies anything out of context, or otherwise tries to defame or slander me or the intent of my words.
If you don't want to be treated as someone poisoning the well, or a fed manufacturing an entrapment case over some handwringing "oh golly, he just sounded so extreme, heres my post saying so.", then don't make posts where you sound like one dick head.
I have zero fear of your nonsense. and I will fall on my sword, in court, to expose you and your agency and the individuals at your agency who engage in any sort of politically-suppressive nonsense.
I will make it a spectacle, big and messy, and subpoena everyone and anyone, to maximize the reputational damage to you and your coworkers, regardless of how it effects me.
I never go to court unless I know I'll win--by all means, fuck around and find out.
