Personally, I inclined to believe he would lead with some sort of cyber attack or grid interference. You can always see the FF coming a mile away when they start buttering up the populace with impending doom with regard to grid, supply chain, food shortage etc

Well, I'd say what's holding him back is the power of the propaganda media which can't be underestimated. It would be genocide to just go after the U.S. openly without having just cause. We know they have it and have plenty of it but their defense would be buried in a landslide of propaganda which would turn the entire world against "satan Russia" Look what happened when they presented evidence of U.S. virus labs in Ukraine to U.N.. No, I'm sure he's retaliating and we ARE in a hot war with Russia over Ukraine. We just aren't seeing it

Im in agreement, I simply cant imagine Putin sitting on his hands and allowing the US to openly arm and assist the UKS
