Have you ever experienced sleep paralysis? When I do, I am semi-awake in my dream. It's always kinda scary at first when you can't move and everything is black, but since a few years ago, don't ask me why, I somehow been able to break it during my sleep. Not always, but when it happen, I more or less see the same things.
You can't really believe it i'm sure, but I think I crossed the line twice in those situation. And by line, I mean plane of existence. It's pretty much the exact same world, but it seem "normal" for them to see floating people. The first time I was "floating" there, I was kinda lost and I entered my very first apartment, with now strangers in it. I was floating in the top right corner of the kitchen and when I looked at the couple sitting on their couch, they were already looking at me and the man said laughing " What are you doing here?". This instantly "woke" me up in the dream and I remember agreeing with him that I don't belong there.
So when I realized it was not my "world", everything turned black for about 2 seconds. Did I close my eyes for 2 seconds? I don't know, but when light came back, I was in front of a gate on the top of a tall building with a "clearly" ancien guy with a look that could see everything in me. What shocked me in all of this is the expression on his face after looking at me. He looked either sad for me, or pained by my life.
The second time I broke sleep paralysis, again I was afraid in the dark for some time when I heard my dead grampa (he was alive 3 weeks before the dream). He was upset, and my eye opened in the dream. I rushed to him, hugged him ( in front of some youth that I never saw in my life but he was from my family, since we all look alike I could tell). Then I realized where I was, and rushed back behind the gate. I found myself on the same tall building with the same old guy. But this was the second time I got there so I knew the way back.. I jumped down the building and woke up in my bed.
