There's a comment saying how DS9 was the last great ST series... I'm banned from posting GWP, so I'll mention it here:
..the only good thing about Voyager(the series that came after DS9) is that it put an end to the sexualization of the series. As the St series moved from TOS > TNG > DS9, there was also an increase in sexual innuendos and sexual Ly suggestive scenes. When Voyager started airing all of a sudden feminism stamped it all out.
Then, a few seasons in, 7 of 9(giggity) saved the series from abysmal ratings. Turns out the population had no stomach for feminist bullshit. Rumor has it the two actors for 7 of 9 & the female captain hated each other on the set
